Red Panda
The Red Panda is facing endangerment and we can all help them survive!
The Red Panda has many features on it’s body to help it climb trees and survive. The Red Panda has dense rusty colored fur to keep it warm. In addition to its fur it has tough jaws to to chew on the hard green bamboo it eats. Also a Red Panda has an extended wrist bone to help it hold onto the bamboo while it eats the bamboo. Furthermore, a Red Panda has semi retractable claws that can grip into trees to help it climb up and for stability on the trees. Another feature a Red Panda has are it’s thick wooly soles under it’s feet for not only to keep it’s paws warm but for it to grip onto wet branches. These are all the features on a Red Panda’s body.
The Red Panda's Habitat
The Red Panda has a unique habitat. Red Pandas live in Asia. Also they live in high-altitude mountain forests with altitudes between 1,800-4,000 meters. Furthermore Red Pandas live in temperate forests in the Himalayas. For example, there are 2 types of temperate forests and Red Pandas live in deciduous forests. The places Red Pandas live in are unique. There are many reasons why Red Pandas are vulnerable animals. Red pandas are hunted because people like their fur for hats or caps. Their forests are getting cleared of trees resulting no bamboo so the Red Pandas starve. The Red Panda is getting pushed farther away from it’s habitat. The Red Pandas are going to be endangered soon! Red Pandas are going to be endangered soon! There are many ways to help them survive. Making fuel out of yak dung blocks would help because cutting trees for fuel destroys the Red Panda’s habitat and food. If someone gets caught buying, selling or killing Red Pandas they will have to pay $1,000 and/or end up going to jail for at least 10 years. Another solution is to adopt a Red Panda! Those are ways to help the almost-endangered Red Pandas!
